For the lovers of Hungarian cinema – from 17th September to 12th November, Hungarian masterpieces in Tartu Elektriteater! 

 

Organized by visiting professor Kriszta Tóth from the Tartu University, a Hungarian film club will kick off on 17th September, to show the diversity of Hungarian cinema. Screenings on a weekly basis, with a short introduction before and discussions after. Screenings are for free, everyone is welcome to attend!

 

The films evolve around the following four thematic topics (in order of screening):
I. Oscar and Hungarian feature films
Mephisto
Son of Saul (Saul fia)
On Body and Soul (Testről és lélekről)
II. Love and history in the 20th century
Love (Szerelem)
Love Film (Szerelmesfilm)
The Ambassador to Bern (A berni követ)
III. Socio-grotesque
The Pregnant Papa (Legényanya)
Sound Eroticism (Egészséges erotika)
IV. Animation and parody
Cat City (Macskafogó)
