The XXV Kuressaare Chamber Music Days will be opened by Accord Quartet – a group of Hungarian musicians full of temperament, formed in 2001.

The group has become one of the most determinative musical groups in Hungary as well as on International scene. They have won several important prizes, including the 1st prize of the Brahms Competition (Austria, 2009), national Leó Weiner Competition (Hungary, 2003), Thomastik-Infeld Prize, Kodály and Bartók Prize at Vienna-Budapest-Prague International Summer Academy (2002, 2004 and 2005 respectively), et al. The quartet has participated in various classical and contemporary music festivals in Hungary, Spain, Austria, and Russia, among others. From 2012 the members of the Accord Quartet hold regular masterclasses in Hungary, Japan and USA. The repertoire of the group is very broad, ranging from old music to contemporary sound art. The Quartet made its debut at Kuressaare Chamber Music Days in 2011.

They were awarded three high-class instruments from the Republic of Hungary, a French and an Italian master violin and an Italian master cello from June 2005. In February of 2008 a replica of a Gasparo da Saló viola was made to the Quartet by Tamás Guminár.
